The Spatial Sciences Revolution - Powering the Information Generation

The Spatial Sciences Institute International Biennial Conference 2007 themed: The Spatial Sciences Revolution - Powering the Information Generation will be one of the main highlights of the SSI calendar. Located in Hobart, Tasmania the program will offer a wide selection of local, national and international keynote and invited speakers. As per past SSI Conferences, a variety of half and full day workshops will be available prior to the conference program. Poster presentations will also play a key role in the scientific program.

Presentations will be based around, but not limited to:

  • Land Surveying and Geodesy
  • Engineering and Mining Surveying
  • Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry
  • Geographic Information Systems and Modelling
  • Hydrography
  • Cartography and Visualisation

along with many other Spatial Applications

Map Competition

Don't forget to get your team together and enter the SSC2007 Map competition. The Tasmanian School's section is up and running and it would be gratifying to see this inaugural SSC event be a success in its first year. Entries for the Map Competition will be accepted up to 13 April 2007.
