Alongside the wonderful range of opportunities available to all visitors to Hobart, the Conference Committee have planned a number of opportunities available to delegates that will allow you to socialise with and get to know each other in a relaxed and informal setting.

The Organising Committee extends a warm invitation to delegates and guests to attend the Welcome Reception and Exhibition Opening. This function will give delegates an opportunity to relax with colleagues and meet new friends. The evening includes light refreshments.

The SSI Young Professionals represent members of the SSI under 36 years of age. The SSI Young Professionals' vision is to achieve unity, innovation and growth within the Spatial Information Industry through development of the Young Spatial Professional community. The Young Professionals are proud to host this Cocktail Reception and invite all Conference delegates to this informal function.

Eat, drink and make friends in a relaxed and fun environment. For those who know of the Taste of Tasmania food festival you are in for a treat. For those who don't, prepare your taste buds, as you choose from a range of gourmet Tasmanian produce served in a relaxed festival atmosphere.
Rockerfellers is a Hobart institution for food, fun and a whole lot of cool. Located at 11 Morrison Street it is but a 2 minute walk from the conference venue, in the Historic old City Flour Mill. This evening is fully inclusive for food and drinks. Numbers are strictly limited so don't miss out.
